I haven't been to the grocery store in more than a week and, let me tell you, it feels glorious.
Truth be told, I hate the grocery store. But, I always find myself there picking up things here and there. Now that our refrigerator, freezer, and pantry are overflowing I've decided to eat what we have. My original goal was to make it two weeks without a visit to the dreaded store or ordering take-out.
Since our pantry-shopping initiative seems to not have even made a dent in our massive amount of food supply, I might extend it to see just how long we can carry on this little experiment. We've eaten enchiladas, chicken 'n dumplings, baked chicken casserole with stuffing and potatoes, spaghetti and meatballs, and chicken and asparagus. I'm pretty much thinking I deserve a gold-star here.
